A 1989 Mack R690ST shocked the political world today by announcing its candidacy for the 2024 Presidential election and forming a new political party at the same time. The longshot third-party bid was revealed at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, Kentucky, between the Miss Flatbed beauty pageant and the Wet T-Cab contest.
The truck, calling itself Verne Lee Kwinocks, spoke to reporters while being hand-washed by the bikini-clad delegates to the new party’s national convention. ‘The slogan of our No Reason Not To Party is My American Cash Kills Apathy. Our platform is simple: we’ll pay you to vote for us.’
When informed that this ploy was illegal, Kwinocks responded, ‘Can’t be any less ethical than everybody in Congress doing whatever their big donors tell them to do, right?’
