A San Jose woman claims the summer beach body she ordered on January 1st is on its way- shipping delays have just held it up.
“My New Year’s Resolution was to have a great beach body this summer, so I ordered it immediately,” says the woman, 49-year-old Heather Fox. “I thought it might take a couple of weeks to arrive, but over six months? It’s ridiculous.”
The mother of two says all her friends have been asking her about it. “They all look great. Their beach bodies got here before Memorial Day. I had to wear a caftan to my son’s graduation- I should have been wearing a miniskirt.”
Heather has reached out to the shipping carrier multiple times, but she has not gotten a clear response.
“Everything is so backed up,” a spokesman for the company said. “Our trucks are moving as much as they can, as fast as they can. Her beach body is definitely on the way. It’s just going to take longer than usual to arrive. We guarantee she will have it by Christmas.”
Heather says that is not good enough. “I won’t need my beach body at Christmas- I need it right now! We’re going to Hawaii next week!”
