In an important provision of the new CHIPS Act, Congress has taken bold steps to produce semi-conductors, essential for national security and economic growth, domestically instead of relying on an increasingly troublesome import. But drivers of 18-wheelers are clearly confused about it.
“Conductor?” frowned Melvin Brewski of Milwaukee. “You mean like on a train? He takin’ tickets? If so, I got a whole pile of them from the highway patrol he can make go away.”
Wyatt Uppchukk out of Akron was similarly befuddled. “What’s he gonna do? Wave his hands around and give signals to the musicians on my radio? I’m pretty sure Kenny Chesney already knows what he’s doin’.”
