In the fast-paced field of genetics, something new is always announced, particularly when profitable corporate products are developed. Nevertheless, the scientific world was shocked today when biotech company South Carolina Agricultural Mechanics (SCAM) revealed that it has created a tree that grows fully-formed truck tires.
Proud CEO Bernard Fooldya showed off the amazing plant to the press at SCAM’s headquarters in Soggy Bottom, SC. ‘It took decades of trial-and-error,’ he said, ‘but here we are. See? Perfect semi-truck tires, hanging like ripe apples. The really hard part was getting the seedless version right.’
Tragically, the tree was later burned to the ground by a commando team sent by Goodyear.
