Saying that it couldn’t understand why no one had thought of it sooner, shipping giant Federal Express announced this week that it was scrapping its fleet of 564 jumbo jet cargo craft to simply put wings on its 33,568 trucks.

FedEx expects to see a cost savings of as much as $27 with the move when the current cost of diesel fuel and those little packets of nuts are factored in.
