Art critics are abuzz at discovering the world’s largest work of Abstract Expressionism, covering 27 miles of I-84 near Boise, created by a convoy of leaky big trucks.
Abstract Expressionism involves dribbling assorted colors of paint onto a canvas on the floor, making complicated patterns for those new to modern art. “And complicated they are,” explained an enthused Professor Walter Wiffle at the Idaho State Art Museum. “The entwined hues suggest a motif of emotional disturbance blended with calculated insouciance. And the skid-mark accents are a touch of brilliance.”
The accidental painting occurred when a colony of mischievous squirrels gnawed on the tank hoses of a fleet from the Miller Paint Company Warehouse just as they pulled out. The damage was not noticed for 30 minutes, resulting in a masterpiece.
