In a surprising turn of events, the famous Ice Road Truckers have decided to take up a new hobby during their downtime on the frozen roads of Alaska. Instead of the usual pastimes like watching movies or playing cards, they have started a knitting competition!
According to sources, the competition was initiated by Lisa Kelly, one of the stars of the show, who was looking for a way to relieve stress and stay warm during long stretches of waiting in the truck. The competition has now become a full-blown event, with truckers from all over Alaska participating.
The rules of the competition are simple: truckers must knit a scarf or a beanie from start to finish while on the road. The winner will be determined based on the quality and creativity of the finished product, as well as the time is taken to complete it.
The competition has been a huge hit among the truckers, with many of them taking it very seriously. Some have even started knitting while driving, much to the amusement of other drivers on the road. The judges, however, have made it clear that safety comes first and any knitting while driving will result in immediate disqualification.
When asked about the competition, Lisa Kelly said, “We may be tough and rugged truckers, but we have a softer side too. Knitting is a great way to stay busy and keep our minds off the cold and lonely roads. Plus, we get to show off our creative side and make some awesome scarves!”
The competition is set to continue throughout the winter season, with the winner being announced in the finale episode of the upcoming season of Ice Road Truckers. We can’t wait to see who comes out on top!
