Startup biotech livestock company Flat-u-lens has come up with a novel way to fuel its trucks without time-consuming stops at diesel pumps: using the animals in the trailer to provide methane directly into the tank.
Spokesperson Sheila “Gassy” Passey explained, ‘It’s kind of like a portable IV line, only instead of going into a vein, the line goes…someplace else, if you get my drift. It’s already been the butt of a lot of jokes. But savings in time and money have been worth it.’
She added, “The drawback is when you fuel source decides that it doesn’t “swing that way” and kicks up a fuss.’
