As a promotional gimmick for the newest Fast and Furious movie, Fast Studio Profits and Freaking Furious Customers, its producers plan to debut the film’s trailer at the Future of Freight Festival by projecting it onto the side of one of the studio’s truck trailers. At the same time, viewers watch it by paralleling it at 85 mph.
A spokesperson for Do the Same Thing Until They Tire of It Pictures said, “It will be a truly immersive experience. Patrons will follow alongside the truck in souped-up sports cars as it re-enacts the route from the high point of the film: through a major European city at high speed with no regard for pedestrians, who remain miraculously unhurt; across a 500-foot gorge while violating every known law of physics and credulity; and through a volley of machine gun and rocket fire that destroys most of each vehicle without damaging the actors’ expensively-redesigned faces.
Also accompanying this spectacle will be 22 fire trucks and 36 vans full of personal-injury attorneys, happy to be literally following ambulances (19) for once.”
