The tumultuous defamation trial between famed actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard has captured the nation’s attention for weeks. While the jury has handed down their judgment, the story is not over yet.
Newly released footage has come to light of some of the extensive post-trial clean-up at the courthouse in Virginia where the proceedings took place. In the grainy surveillance video, one can clearly make out what appears to be several tons of unused drama being loaded onto a double trailer hauling truck.
Using the footage, we could locate and speak to Nick Centra, the driver of the truck, which was heavily weighed down by the massive amount of drama it had to transport. Mr. Centra was amazed by the job.
“I’ve hauled a lot of drama in my time. Done a lot of runs back and forth, usually from divorce proceedings, sweet sixteen parties, men’s locker rooms, believe it or not, but I’ve never seen anything like this,” Mr. Centra told us, still shaken by the experience. “Of course, I watched every moment of the trial on TV, and I thought they must have used every ounce of drama in the county, maybe even the state, but I got in there the day after, and you would not believe how much drama remained. It must have been enough to fuel a dozen bachelorette parties.”
Mr. Centra was not allowed to disclose exactly where he took the drama when he removed it from the courtroom, but he assured us it would not be wasted and did give a hint.
“Mr. Depp and Miss Heard very kindly agreed to donate the excess drama to a local theatrical program. Honestly, it will be enough to keep those kids going for decades.”
