Trucker’s Dashboard Becomes a Full-Time Petting Zoo

What started as one stray dog for the company on long hauls has quickly spiraled into something much bigger. A trucker’s cab has now become a rolling animal sanctuary, earning him a reputation among rest stops as “the Noah’s Ark of the highway.”

The first addition was a dog, picked up outside a diner, who now serves as a morale booster and occasional seat warmer. Then came a cat, which mostly lounges on the dashboard, blocking visibility at the worst possible moments. A parrot was next, shouting “Clear left!” at intersections, though its understanding of proper lane changes remains questionable at best.

The most recent addition, however, has raised the most eyebrows – a snake. The trucker, not one to turn away a creature in need, found it near a gas station pump and named it “Tire Tread,” after the location of its rescue. The snake has since made itself at home, occasionally wrapping around the steering wheel in what experts have identified as “a firm but concerning embrace.”

Despite the growing menagerie, the trucker insists he is not actively collecting animals, stating, “They just sort of show up.” The truck’s unusual passenger list has led to unexpected perks, including an influx of sponsorship offers from pet food brands. His trucking company, however, remains blissfully unaware that one of their rigs has been unofficially reclassified as a mobile petting zoo on Google Maps.

While he has no plans to expand his animal collection, fellow truckers have started a betting pool on what species will join the crew next. Current favorites include a raccoon, an owl, and, if rumors are true, a goat that has already been seen lingering around a truck stop parking lot.
