This Easter, truckers across the country have been taking egg hunting to a whole new level by incorporating their rigs into the game.
“It started out as a joke, really,” said trucker and Easter enthusiast, Joe Davis. “But then we thought, why not make it a competition?”
The rules of the game are simple. Each trucker hides a certain number of Easter eggs in and around their rig, and the other truckers have to find them before time runs out.
“The trick is to make the eggs challenging to find,” said Davis. “We’ve hidden them in some pretty obscure places!”
One trucker, John Smith, reportedly hid an egg inside the engine of his rig, forcing his competitors to don gloves and fish it out from the oily depths.
“It’s all in good fun,” said Smith. “We just wanted to spice up the Easter season a bit.”
The truckers have even created a makeshift trophy for the winner of the competition: a golden egg spray painted with trucker mud flaps.
“It’s a coveted prize, let me tell you,” said Davis. “But the real prize is the fun and camaraderie we have out here on the road.”
Who knows what other Easter traditions truckers will incorporate into their long hauls in the years to come. One thing’s for sure, though – they’ll never stop surprising us with their creativity!
