Logistics Companies Adopt European-style Semis in Effort to Save Space

In a move that has stunned the trucking industry, several logistics companies have started using European-style semis to save space on highways and loading docks. The move comes as companies seek ways to reduce traffic congestion and maximize efficiency.

“We’re always looking for ways to make trucks more economical,” said one logistics company CEO. “Switching to European style semis just makes sense. The cab takes up less space, and if we manage to lengthen the trailers, we will be able to transport more goods in one trip.”

However, the move to European-style semis has been controversial: “I don’t know how anyone can drive one of those things for more than a few hours,” said one trucker. “They’re just too small and cramped.”

Despite the concerns, some trucking companies have already started using European-style semis and are touting their benefits on social media.
“Say goodbye to big cabs and hello to European minimalism,” reads one post from a logistics company.

What do you think? Is it the next step in the evolution of the American 18-wheeler?
