Film fans have been waiting patiently for a follow-up to hit Ryan Gosling’s vehicle “Drive,” and their patience is about to be rewarded- at a price. Fortunately, star actor Ryan will pay that price.
“Gas prices are insane. We could only afford to greenlight this production if someone else paid for the gas,” a studio executive told reporters. “Fortunately, that someone else is Ryan.”
The project has been in the works for months, but the studio was hesitant to give it the go-ahead as they watched petrol prices climb sky-high. However, Mr. Gosling is just as eager to see this film as fans.
“I have so much money,” he said while eating lunch at a very nice Beverly Hills cafe. “Like, you have no idea. Sure, gas prices are high, but I love driving, movies, and driving in movies. It’s a no-brainer for me.”
While exact budget details have not been released, gas prices in California, where filming will take place, are some of the highest in the nation.
“I’ll do anything for art,” Ryan added while sipping a daiquiri in his Malibu swimming pool. “After all, I am an artist. What’s the real cost of something, really? Nothing. Anyway, do you want some of this caviar? It’s not the best, but it’s pretty good.”
