Full-time driver and part-time musician Tommy Hu was in a bind after a freak accident left him fenderless. Fortunately, he had the solution in his sleeper cab: a pair of Fender electric guitars.
“Yeah, man, it was a bummer, ya know?” Hu said as he signed autographs for a bevy of overly-appreciative young ladies. “I was on Highway 149 in Colorado, and these two ginormous boulders came barrelin’ down the mountain and clipped off both fenders. Major buzzkill. Good thing I had those guitars. It took a half an hour to slap them on, and I was good to go.”
Hu said he expects his instruments sound quality to be greatly degraded by such use, but he plans to make lemons out of lemonade by writing a song about the experience. “It’ll be a rock song, naturally.”
