The social media giant TikTok said today that it is diversifying into other arenas. Its first venture will be a new supply company to compete with FedEx and UPS. Known as TikTruck, it will feature state-of-the-art 18-wheelers with an interesting feature. Just as with its more famous brand, TikTruck operations will be restricted to 10 minutes at a time.
‘Everything in our operation is set up for that,’ explained COO Lame I. Dea. ‘All the infrastructure is limited to a maximum of 10 minutes. But we see no reason why that should be a deal-breaker. We’ll just have to get very good at offloading to the next truck…every 10 minutes.’
Dea also admitted that as the typical TikTok user is a 16-year-old influencer selling makeup, their driver pool is severely limited.
