The storyline of the fresh, smash hit “Trucks” follows Harry Dover, a rookie truck driver, during his first year on the road through hip-hop-style beats, lyrics, and choreography.
Don’t worry if you can’t make it to a show, you can still sing along to wildly popular songs like “Blindspot Hotshot” and “Dump n’ Crump” by purchasing the cast album.
Trenton Quill, writer and producer of the show and former truck driver himself, is basking in the sudden stardom and impressive success. “I hope to give Lin-Manuel Miranda a run for his money,” he laughs. “No, Lin’s a great guy. I’ve met him a few times. What I hope is that the show and the fact that I’m the one who wrote it inspires other truckers to explore their creative side.”
