The world is in an uproar with technology. One of the latest trends in the tech world is NFTs and cryptocurrency.
Johann Rupert, a trucker from Shaky-Town, had a hard time grasping the concept of the Non-Fungible Token, even after a large cup of hundred-mile coffee.
“So, people are selling stuff that doesn’t really exist? – Mr. Rupert asked in disbelief. With the patience of a man talking to his kid, Mr. Cornelius Shea, first president of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, 150, said: “Yes.” If I understand this correctly, said Mr. Rupert, anyone in the world can come up with whatever silly idea he can think of, and another person will pay actual money to think he owns it?
Glad he finally got the gist of the idea; Mr. Shea went back to his occupations.
Mr. Rupert decided, as a joke, to make an NFT of a transported pallet from New York to Las Vegas. Against all odds, his idea caught on, and people started buying and selling his pallets. Five minutes later, Rupert was the proud owner of one thousand bitcoins.
Our reporters found out that Mr. Rupert lost everything later the same day as he accepted a proposition from a cargo company to bring him all his Bitcoins in a truck.
Mr. Rupert gladly accepted and started making room in his basement, as apparently, Bitcoins are a fair deal larger than regular coins. Sad.
